Avainsana: e-books
Experiences using Kogan Page e-books for my thesis
As an International Business and Logistics student at Metropolia University of Applied Sciences, my bachelor's thesis focuses on how recent geopolitical changes are affecting Finland's freight forwarding industry. In recent years, global trade has faced several disruptions, including the COVID-19 pandemic, the Russia-Ukraine War, and growing geopolitical tensions that have affected the international logistics and supply chains. Access to relevant academic sources is essential Because my research examines how these global events influence freight forwarding operations in Finland, access to relevant academic sources is essential. In addition to my academic work, I also got the opportunity to participate in the Metropolia Trainee Program (MTP) in Autumn 2025, which further strengthened my practical understanding of the field. While exploring the library's digital resources, I had the opportunity to use the e-book service from Kogan Page. The platform provides a wide range of professional and academic books covering topics such as logistics, supply chain management, international trade, business strategy, and leadership. For students working on business-related topics, this collection is highly valuable. Kogan page is easy to navigate One of the strengths of the Kogan Page platform is how easy it is to navigate. The search option enables one to find books on a certain subject in a quick manner. There are both offline and online reading systems. To use offline, it is possible to download the books and read them whenever you want to. A book synopsis and description are available in each book, so it is not difficult to check whether a title is applicable and start reading it or not. The platform offers a variety of subjects, so there are resources for multiple areas of business and logistics research. The content is relevant for real-world business challenges Another helpful feature is that the books are written by industry professionals as well as academic experts. This makes the content practical and relevant for understanding real-world business challenges. In fields such as logistics and supply chain management, having access to industry insights is extremely useful because it helps bridge the gap between theory and practice. From a student perspective, the Kogan Page e-book service is particularly helpful for my thesis work. Link to Kogan Page Check out Kogan Page on LibGuides
